We've had a rough week and half here. From last Friday through Tuesday we received almost 8 inches of rain (much of it received in the first few days). It just wouldn't stop! Our beautiful and tidy garden became a flooded mess of mud and muck. The plants didn't like it and many are wilted and dying.

We spent much of last Tuesday and Wednesday hand digging a trench to try to better drain the garden and keep the plants from drowning.

It definitely set us back a few weeks. It's very depressing. *SIGH*

We were able to harvest a few things this week though and I'm hoping many of the plants will spring back once they get dried out.  We'll see....
