It's supposed to be 105 degrees here today (e-gads!) and I don't think I'll be doing any gardening. Although I'll probably be spending my day in front of the air conditioner, I thought I would go ahead and introduce you to a beautiful, light and frosty daylily that can help cool off your garden on hot summer days like today...

Daylily 'August Frost'

August Frost is a late blooming daylily and will help to extend your blooming season by coming into bloom after many other daylilies have passed their prime. It has very pale yellow / almost white blooms with a narrow, yellow-edged ruffle on the petals. August Frost has large 6 inch flowers and, although it is not a re-bloomer, it is a heavy performer (i.e. it blooms like crazy!). It gets to be about 30-36 inches tall and has a spread of about 24 inches. Like most daylilies, August Frost prefers full sun and is hardy in zones 3-9.
